ABOUT. This directory pulls a public listing of active BBSes and offers three ways in: BBSTERM via SDF CGI relay (recommended — a hardened Python CGI at pngai.sdf.org opens a server-side telnet socket and polls it; works for any host on the allowlist, no client-side sockets needed), the telnet:// URI (system telnet handler if installed), or a web telnet gateway. Data source: telnetbbsguide.com, fetched through a public CORS proxy, with a bundled fallback list for when the proxy is down.
